This elegant and large wetland bird is struggling to survive in South Africa.

A percentage of sales from this sculpture will go towards the Wattled Crane Recovery Program (click here) in KZN. A new breeding program is planed to be built at the Usher Conservation Centre in Nottingham Road, KwaZulu Natal Midlands, South Africa, and funds are needed to get the project off the ground. The breeding of Cranes is a complex business, and many different strategies are required to successfully rear chicks who will be well adapted for living in the wild.
